So if you're into following the Civic related shenanigans of the Osaka region of Japan, which you are most likely to be if you're reading this.. this it may also possibly be that your are aware of the name "Mecha-Dock". A long standing, but discreet, tuning shop on the outskirts of the main city ran by Kazu-San along with the help of his wife. Through the years of various 'activity' by the Civics in the region it's been a shop that has well played it's part in the maintenence, repair, and general running of a host of owners cars, especially that of the No Good Racing team as you'll be able to tell by some of the additional photos I took during recent and also final visit to the shop.
Final!? I hear you ask.. Well yes. As the years go bye and the newer generations of drivers in the region perhaps seek newer cars, or not partake in the spirited driving we may see around the area, it becomes harder to look at the business and see how healthy it may be in the years to come. So Kazu-San and his wife have to think about for them, and their child's futures, the best way to proceed. So on New Years eve of 2024 it will be the official final day of Mecha-Dock's business hours and it will close it's doors. January 1st 2025 will start a new adventure as the family embark on a new family business and I wish them all the best in both family and business life in the years to come, and thanks for playing part in a culture that has come to be of great interest to me, and of course for all of you guys abroad that also love this culture.
